CyberVadis Badges and Medals: thresholds and how to use them

Find out how the CyberVadis medal system works, which score thresholds qualify for each medal, how to download your medal kit, and how to use it in your internal and external communications.

Written by Ana Nikolaeva

Completing a CyberVadis assessment is no small feat. It requires time, effort, and genuine engagement with your company's security practices. When your hard work translates into a strong score, we want to make sure you can show it.

The CyberVadis medal system gives you a tangible, shareable mark of your cybersecurity achievement - something you can put in front of clients, partners, and prospects to demonstrate that your security posture has been independently validated.

Medal thresholds

Your medal tier is determined by your overall score. The following thresholds apply from 1 January 2026:

Medal

Score range

Platinum

950 to 1,000

Gold

900 to 949

Silver

800 to 899

Bronze

700 to 799

What you receive

When your scorecard is published, your medal kit is ready and waiting. Download it directly from your scorecard on the CyberVadis platform. The kit contains:

  • A digital medal confirming the tier you have achieved (if your score reaches the Bronze threshold or above)

  • A completion certificate confirming your participation in the CyberVadis assessment

If your score is below 700

Not reaching a medal threshold this time does not mean your efforts go unrecognised. Your medal kit will still include a participation badge and a completion certificate confirming that your company completed the CyberVadis assessment. Download them directly from your scorecard on the platform, no additional request is needed.

And remember: your improvement plan is your roadmap to a higher score next time. See [How to use the Improvement Plan to strengthen your security posture].
