How to change the sharing settings for your evidence documents

Find out how to change the visibility of your evidence documents from private to shared, so your clients and partners can view the supporting documentation behind your scorecard.

By default, all documents you upload to the CyberVadis platform are set to private. This means they are visible to CyberVadis analysts during your assessment review but are not accessible to the clients and partners you share your scorecard with.

If you want your clients to be able to view the supporting evidence behind your scorecard, you can change the sharing setting for each document from private to shared.

How to change a document's sharing setting

  1. Log in to your CyberVadis account at app.cybervadis.com

  2. Click on the Document Library tab in the main menu

  3. Find the document whose sharing setting you want to change

  4. Click Edit on the right side of the document entry

  5. In the Share with section, select My network

  6. Click Save to apply the change

The document is now visible to the partners in your network. Your network consists only of the clients and partners with whom you have an accepted sharing relationship on the platform: documents set to My network are not publicly accessible and are not visible to anyone outside your accepted connections.

Reverting to private

To make a document private again, follow the same steps and select Private in the Share with section instead of My network.

A note on selective sharing

You do not need to share all of your evidence documents. You can choose which documents to make visible to your network on a file-by-file basis, giving you full control over what your accepted partners can see alongside your scorecard.
